Description:
In sport world, athlete have long practice the use of meditation and sport psychology to improve and strengthen their performance during races and practices. Research clearly shows the increase of positive physical responses, focus and motivation, quality of practice and performance and the enjoyment of performing.
Musicians are much alike athlete, who needs to focus the mind, thoughts, emotions and physical body as one under challenging environment. Imagine how it would be like to gain more control or rather completely float over it calmly. This project invites you to explore the art of meditation and psychology as musicians to see how this path take you.

Description:
Having a good music instrument is not as vital as knowing how to maintaining it in a good condition. Furthmore, this can turn into a career if done well. Unfortunately, this knowledge is rarely discssed in most of music performance school. Thus, this activity will give participants a glimpse to the world of piano tuning and maintenance. PGVIM#1 alumni, Thanaporn Songkiattisak, will share her knowledge and will give opportunitiy in this hands on workshop. Footage will be recorded throughout the week which will be edited into a final presetation. Who can participate? 1. Pianists 2. Non-pianists who would like to learn how piano tuning works 3. Those who would like to gain experience, and add to their portfolio/CV, in VDO recording and edting. Project Goals in Thai 1. ให้นักศึกษาหรือผู้ที่เข้าร่วมได้ทราบถึงความสำคัญของการดูแลรักษาเครื่องดนตรีประเภทเปียโน 2. ทราบถึงหลักการเบื้องต้นของการเทียบเสียงเปียโน 3. สามารถปฏิบัติหรือวิเคราะห์ถึงปัญหาเบื้องต้นของสภาพเปียโนได้ 4. ทราบถึงแนวทางในการพัฒนาเพื่อสายอาชีพทางเลือกได้ต่อไป

Description:
SILENT FILM RECORDING PROJECT: Working with master students from the Music And Moving Image Media class, you will rehearse music they have created for a selection of silent films. Through the recording workshops, you will gain insight into the recording process and be able to participate both as a player and recording assistant - The outcome will be a set of short soundtracks synchronised to silent films. During the 5 days we will cover aspects of performance to film, recording techniques, improvisation as well as mixing and synchronising techniques for working with moving image media.

Beauty and the Beast Beauty and the Beast is a fairytale written by Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve a French novelist and published in 1740. In 1991 Walt Disney premiered Beauty and the Beast in a motion picture, which contains a bunch of tracks by Alen Menken; producer, and Howard Ashman; lyricist. Beauty and the Beast have been declaimed as a famous animation, and also the soundtrack which is beautiful and contains a lot of varieties of styles of modern music. So I have been decided to re-create the presentation of Beauty and the Beast in modern society, to remind and send the message from me to the present generation and society. The concert will be performed by vocals with orchestra (or chamber music in case of covid-19)

การแสดงโขนที่โดยปกติแล้วจะเป็นการบรรเลงร่วมกับดนตรีไทยหรือวงพี่พาทย์ แต่ใน workshop ครั้งนี้เราจะมาร่วมเรียนรู้กระบวนการสร้างงานแสดงในแต่ละครั้งของการแสดงโขนร่วมกับดนตรีไทย ว่าเขามีวิธีอย่างไรในการบรรเลงดนตรีและการคิดค้นท่ารำให้เข้ากับเพลง รวมถึงมีการนำดนตรีตะวันตกในกลุ่ม percussion มาร่วมสร้างสรรค์เสียงที่แตกต่างจากขนบธรรมเนียมเดิมๆ แล้วเมื่อเสียงที่เปลี่ยนไปจะเกิดอะไรขึ้นบ้างกับผู้แสดงโขน และผู้แสดงจะมีความคิดเห็นอย่างไร เมื่อต้องทำการแสดงในเสียงดนตรีและสิ่งแวดล้อมที่ไม่เหมือนเดิม ติดตามชมได้ใน Tradition Changes
