ANIMALJEON
PGVIM x SNU Collaborative Project

Description:
In 2023 Animaljeon, a performance that combines a unique Korean singing called Pansori with Korean traditional musical instruments. It presents the stories of the personalities of four animals with their unique personalities, performed in a musical by students from the Department of Traditional Korean Music, College of Music, Seoul National University. The performance will return to mark the 65th anniversary of Thailand-South Korea relations. By taking the original ANIMALJEON project and developing and improving it to be a mix of Thai and Korean in cooperation with Seoul Nat'l Univ.

UPCYCLE INSTRUMENT

This project week delves into the world of transforming everyday discards into musical instruments! Over five days, participants will explore, design, and build their own unique creations, culminating in a performance showcase at the end of the week.
Beyond crafting your musical masterpiece, you'll:
1. Gain clarity on recycling vs. upcycling: Guest speakers will shed light on these concepts and their vital role in today's world.
2. Discover the possibilities of turning discards into instruments, exploring various materials and crafting techniques.
3. Collaborate and learn: Work in teams, share ideas, and receive guidance from experienced instructors, fostering a creative and supportive environment.
By the end of this project week, you'll have:
1. Your own upcycled instrument: Express your individuality and musicality through your unique creation.
2. Newfound knowledge and skills: Gain valuable insights into recycling, upcycling, and instrument making.
3. A musical creation through your own upcycled instrument. This performance will be performed once again on 1 June 2024 during Princess Galyani Vadhana International Music Festival 2024.
