Description: 

                      The project is a preparation for the "Baroque Experience" concert to celebrate the 333rd Anniversary of the Siamese envoy to France on 3 & 5 November 2022, conducted by Michaël Cousteau, and Thai Choreographer, Jitti Chompee, to share the stage with 18 Monkeys Dance Theatre and the Princess Galayani Vadhana Institute of Music Baroque Ensemble. The program includes French Baroque music by Lully, Rameau and DeLalande.

               

               
Required instruments: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double bass, 2 flutes, 2 Oboes, Bassoon, 2 trumpets, Harpsichord and percussions (Max 25 participants)

Musical Leadership of the 21st century

Directing & Conducting

Description: 

                      ANYBODY IS WELCOMED TO JOIN! (including any instrumentalists, singers, composers, and nonmusicians) As a conductor, the main role usually focus with on-stage part including to conduct the performance and artistic presentation. However, besides of an on-stage part, the other important role of conductor in 21st century is to find the relevance of music with the community and bring positive impact in the most accessible way - creative and collaborative programing as well as organize and manage the project for accomplishment through collaboration and engagement with audience and society. During the project, student will learn about role of conductor as an artistic director in two aspects which include

 

1) On the podium part (every participant will have an opportunity to conduct the ensemble) - Understanding repertoires - Introduction to conducting technique - Score preparation - Communication with ensemble (Musicians, orchestra etc.)

 

2) Off the podium part - Programming for what the community needs - Realistic management & organising the project - Budgeting: grants, funding and writing proposal Creating your own project - how to write for grants, proposal, reach out the community, educational programme as conductor Collaboration with musicians outside the class Project based learning - Group works Organising specific programme - Therapy, Marketing and budgeting Public speaking to the audience

               

               
Required instruments: 

String quintet (2 Violins, Viola, Cello and Piano), 2 pianos

Other instruments are welcomed - Strings, Woodwind, Brass, Percussion, Voice,

This project, led by a German pianist, Prof. Wolfgang Glemser from Brandenburg University of Technology, Cottbus-Senftenberg, includes masterclass for piano or chamber music with piano, lecture and workshop on methodic/Form analysis of piano music from Viennese classic to russian late romantic era (especially for Schubert and Scriabin).

Description: 

Improvisation is part of human life. The easiest example is when we converse, we spontaneously react to each other words and where decisions need to be made to keep the conversation going or to have it stopped.

In short, Improvisation is about making a decision and committing to the decision made. Furthermore, improvisation increases listening skills exercises spontaneity and learns to creatively solve problems. This activity aims to nurture decision-making skills and overcome inhibitions when communicating when working with others or presenting publicly.

Description: 

A week full of classical guitar traning either in solo or in ensemble. Specialized in Baroque music, Bernhard Dolch, will give lectures about classical guitar playing including technique, interpretation and performing perspective. The workshop will focus on solo playing through masterclass and the ensemble playing through group rehearsal. Be prepared to enjoy a week especially for guitar aficionados. Bernhard Dolch is a guitar lecturer at Brandenburg University of Technology in Cottbus, Germany. He is specialized in Barouque music and a founder of DUO Guitartes with many recordings.
