As an artist, it is very important to develop your own artistic identity. Classical musicians are trained to be a messenger who communicate what is on the page to listeners with the highest of skills. Thus, classical music performance training always emphasizes on the technical ability, and often neclecting other skills that will help them to become successful in their future career. This project will act as the first step to other areas essential for developing your career as an artist. They include the context of today's Thai music industry, introduction to marketing, publicity, and planning your career presenting by experts from each field.

Performing Silence is the project to perform live music with silent film in usage of music improvisation and composition to understand the music material, structure and form combining with an interpretation from other disciplinary art form (silent film) for creating mixed media performance between sound (music performance) and visual art (silent film). Also, learning through the historical context of performing music with film both international and specific in Thai soceity.

Description:
Body is an essential part of our life. We use body to work, to create things, to do things what we want and as musician, we use it to play music. Playing music needs a lot of physical understanding in detail. In this project, we will learn what we can explore more in our body to its fullest capability. From the martial arts practice related to Tao philosophical aspect, the cultivation of body and mind is demonstrated. Let's discover what we can achieve more with our body (+mind) and integrate this to our music performance.

เพราะทุกวันคือ Runway เพราะอาชีพนักดนตรีในปัจจุบันใช่ว่าจะง่าย ไหนจะซ้อมให้เก่ง เล่นให้ดี นำเสนอก็ต้องโดน ออกตัวทั้งทีต้องเป๊ะต้องปัง เรื่องราวหลากหลายที่ต้องเรียนรู้ดูกันไป ประสบการณ์ที่ต้องสั่งสม มีเรื่องอะไรบ้างที่รู้ไว้ใช่ว่า และจะทำให้การ Take Off บนรันเวย์ เกิดขึ้นได้แบบสวยและอนาคตไกล
พบกับวิทยากรหลากหลายประสบการณ์ ทั้งจากคนดนตรีที่ก้าวไปสู่โลกของ Creative แถวหน้าของประเทศไทย อย่าง อ.แจ๊ค อภิสิทธิ์ วงศ์โชติ และคุณเก่ง ธชย ที่จะมาแชร์วิธีคิดแบบชิคๆ ตอบโจทย์ของยุคสมัย หรือคนทำงานเบื้องหลังความสำเร็จของศิลปิน จากมุมผู้จัดการและนักประชาสัมพันธ์ ที่ต้องเข้าใจศิลปินไปพร้อมกับการสื่อสารสังคม หรือศิลปินรุ่นใหม่ ที่ต้องขยายขอบเขตการเรียนรู้และความร่วมมือไปยังประเทศเพื่อนบ้าน และศิลปินเพื่อประชาสังคม ที่ใช้ดนตรีเป็นเครื่องสื่อสารแนวคิดและการเรียกร้องสิทธิ์ของคนรุ่นใหม่ ตบท้ายด้วยมุมมองของ อ.สาครินทร์ เครืออ่อน ศิลปินศิลปาธร ฝีมือระดับนานาชาติ ที่พาเอางานศิลปะร่วมสมัยของไทย ไปโลดแล่นอยู่ในเวทีระดับโลก

Description:
The first graduating class of PGVIM Master students will present the outcomes of their artistic research during Project Week, March 15-19. Events will include online talks, workshops, performances, and exhibitions. Our student’s projects cover a wide range of research areas—from pedagogy to ecomusicology; composition to mindfulness—and each displays a unique interdisciplinary approach to the creation of musical experiences.
